Ingredients
  • 400g Korean glass noodles (dangmyeon)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 500g beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup gochujang sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
Preparation Steps
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add the sliced onion and cook until it starts to caramelize, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the wok and cook for an additional minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Add the Korean glass noodles to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until they start to soften.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the gochujang sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce into the wok and stir to combine.
  7. Return the beef strips to the wok and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, until everything is well coated with the sauce and heated through.
  8. Season the stir-fry with salt and black pepper to taste, then serve immediately.
  9. Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds, if desired.
