Korean Japchae Stir-Fry with Spicy Gochujang Sauce

Ingredients
  • 200g rice flour noodles, soaked in water for 10 minutes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 250g beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1/4 cup gochujang sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish
Preparation Steps
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat
  2. Add beef strips and cook until browned, then set aside
  3. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic and stir-fry until softened
  4. Add gochujang sauce and soy sauce; stir well to combine
  5. Add soaked rice flour noodles and cooked beef back into the skillet
  6. Stir-fry everything together for 2-3 minutes, or until the noodles are coated in the sauce
  7. Season with black pepper to taste
