Ingredients
  • 1 package of wonton wrappers (20-24 count)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup crab meat, jumbo lump
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped scallions
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, crab meat, soy sauce, scallions, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. Layout the wonton wrappers on a clean surface.
  3. Place a small spoonful of the crab mixture onto the center of each wrapper.
  4. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a small amount of water and fold the wrapper into a triangle, pressing the edges together to seal the filling inside.
  5. Heat about 2-3 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.
  6. Carefully place a few of the rangoon bites into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove the rangoon bites from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve the crab rangoon bites warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
