Ingredients
  • 4 duck breasts (6 oz each)
  • 1 cup cherry jam
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup mixed greens
Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the duck breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the duck breasts for 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for 12-15 minutes or until the duck reaches your desired level of doneness.
  5. While the duck is cooking, mix the cherry jam and balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the glaze for 5 minutes or until thickened.
  7. Remove the duck from the oven and brush with the cherry-balsamic glaze.
  8. Let the duck rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with mixed greens.
