Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Preparation Steps
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, Parmesan cheese, parsley, dill, garlic, and a pinch of salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and egg.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should still be slightly lumpy.
- Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Using a tablespoon, drop small balls of the batter into the oil, about 1/4 cupfuls.
- Fry the fritters until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve the garlic herb fritters warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
