Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup ground cardamom
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup rosewater (optional)
- Confectioners' sugar for dusting
Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, sugar, and ground cardamom to the dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
- Beat in the eggs until a dough forms. If using rosewater, stir it in at this stage.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut into desired shapes (e.g., circles or squares). Place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
