Dukkah Crusted Lamb Koftas

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dukkah spice blend
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12-15 pita breads
- Yogurt sauce (see below for recipe)
- Chopped fresh parsley
Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine lamb, olive oil, garlic, dukkah spice blend, cumin powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 12-15 portions and shape each portion into a kofta.
- Thread each pita bread on a skewer to create a kebab.
- Thread 2-3 lamb koftas onto each pita bread and secure with a toothpick if needed.
- Brush the tops of the lamb koftas with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Serve hot with yogurt sauce drizzled on top and garnished with chopped parsley.
